Dias v1.6 - Mobile app v1.2

QA release date: 02/12/2025 - PROD release date: 13/01/2026

We are excited to announce the launch of Dias v1.6, the Identity Hub to identify your users and get complete and verified data about your customer and let them authenticate themselves.

With this release, we're introducing a range of powerful new features and improvements designed to increase your productivity, streamline your workflows and improve your user experience.

What's new in this release?

  • New identification methods
    • SMS One-Time Password (OTP)
Users can now authenticate in Dias using an SMS one-time password. This provides an additional, user-friendly identification method for scenarios where strong mobile-based authentication is preferred.
    • Login + password authentication
Dias now supports classic username + password authentication. This makes it easier to integrate Dias into existing account-based environments and supports more flexible login flows alongside eID and other strong identity methods.
  • OIDC & User Experience
    • Support for ui_locales in OIDC authentication flow
The Dias OIDC integration now supports the ui_locales parameter. This allows client applications to control the language of the Dias login and consent screens, improving the user experience in multilingual environments.
  • Integration
    • Styling via API
Dias now exposes styling options via API, enabling integrators to better align the look & feel of Dias components with their own application or portal branding.
  • eID Enhancements
    • Providing nationality for eID
When authenticating with eID, Dias can now provide the nationality attribute (where available and permitted). This allows relying parties to use nationality as an additional attribute in their business logic or compliance flows.
  • General Improvements
    • Various minor bug fixes and performance optimizations in background processes
    • Additional security policies have been implemented
    • Optimizations related to DIAS multi-factor authentication (MFA)
    • Introduction of a new documentation platform containing all technical and functional information
    • Extended internal monitoring on critical processes and key performance indicators

Dias Mobile App

With this Dias release, we are also introducing a new version of the mobile application, which includes several optimizations to improve overall stability and user experience, as well as an upgrade of the Android mobile SDK version.

What’s planned for the next release?

We are committed to further improving Dias and have already planned a number of adjustments for the next release. For now, there are no additional features scheduled for the upcoming release; our focus is on maintaining a stable platform and preparing the next set of enhancements.
