On Tuesday, December 9th, we will release a new version of the Quill platform to the QA environment. The production release will follow on Tuesday, January 6th 2026. Both releases are scheduled around 08:00 AM and may involve a brief interruption.
What’s new in this release?
This release delivers a mix of targeted improvements, bug fixes, and new features, ensuring a smoother user experience today while preparing the platform for tomorrow’s growth.
Application Enhancements
- External Health Check
Added a new endpoint for external system health monitoring, allowing integrators to verify Quill’s operational status from outside the platform. - Legal Notice on Signer Level
Introduced legal notices configurable at individual signer level, enabling more granular compliance per participant in the signing flow. - Incomplete document removal change: Incomplete documents are now closed 7 days before permanent removal, resulting in improved document retention.
- Collection level reminders : Improved the handling of collection level reminders, including new separate customizable templates.
- Stats/Insights – Restricted Permission
Added a new permission level that restricts access to statistics and insights, providing finer control over who can view analytics data. - Low-Level Data Export
Enabled export of technical and audit-level data, giving administrators deeper visibility into system events and document processing. - Azure Monitor Connector
Added a connector for synchronizing a tenant’s incidents (webhooks, OIDC, connector synchronization failures) to Azure Monitor. - Tenant Name in AES Evidence Reports
The tenant name is now included as additional metadata in evidence reports, improving traceability and auditability. - Email Delivery Tracking & Failure Handling
Introduced detailed email delivery tracking and failure detection, offering real-time insight into notification status and troubleshooting. - Signature (fields) at end of document
Ensured consistent placement of signature fields and other form elements at the end of documents, improving layout stability and readability.
UI & User Experience
- Menu & Look-and-Feel Updates
Simplified navigation and refreshed interface styling to improve overall usability. - itsme® app automatically opens when signing on mobile devices
- WCAG 2.1 Compliance
Enhanced accessibility to meet WCAG 2.1 standards, improving usability for all users. - Improved Sign Button
The sign button now clearly displays the number of documents requiring signature. - Menu overhaul, UI/UX improvements and tenant level customization
- Standardization of Signer Name Between eID & itsme®
Ensured consistent presentation of signer names across eID and itsme® signing flows. - Increased Email Body Limit
Expanded the character limit for email templates, offering more flexibility for communication content. - German Language Support
Introduced full German language support for the Quill application. - Extended Styling Options
Additional tenant-level branding and styling options are now available. - (Post-)Signing Page Customisation
Customisable signing and post-signing pages, allowing tailored user experiences. - Signature method arrangement
Administrators can now configure the order and hierarchy (primary/secondary) of signature methods, improving control over signature flows.
API Enhancements
- V2 company user group management API’s
Added V2 API’s to handle the management of company user groups. - SendGrid Whitelisting via API
Added API support for SendGrid domain whitelisting, enabling automatic registration of sending domains via integrations.
