RELEASE NOTES DIAS V1.4
QA release date: 19/11/2024 - PROD release date: 26/11/2024
Introduction
We are excited to announce the launch of Dias v1.4, the Identity Hub to identify your users and get complete and verified data about your customer and let them authenticate themselves.
With this release, we're introducing a range of powerful new features and improvements designed to increase your productivity, streamline your workflows and improve your user experience.
What's new in this release?
New Identification Method 1: Simplified ID-Data Extraction
We’ve added a new identification option designed for scenarios where quick ID data extraction is needed without strict security requirements. This method allows you to easily capture data from an ID card without confirming the identity of the owner. The end-user doesn’t have to fill in the ID-pincode. Please note that this method is for data extraction only and does not provide authentication.
New Identification Method 2: NFC-Based ID Verification
You can now offer your customers the option to sign in using their smartphone with NFC capability (Near Field Communication is the technology that allows two devices to talk to each other when they're close together). This feature supports reading ID documents digitally, including recently issued eID cards and biometric passports. This enhances the identification process with a secure and seamless experience using the NFC technology on smartphones.
Here is an overview of all Dias methods so far
We now offer a variety of identification and authentication methods to meet diverse needs:
